Air Deccan (Mispelt as Air Decan), is known as India's first low fares airline and the fastest growing airline in India. Air Deccan came into existence in 2003 and had had a very clear vision and that was by offering the lowest air fares give the power of lying to the comman man and connectivity to 100's unconnected Indian cities. Air Deccan has recently been taken over by Vijay Mallya's UB Group (King Fisher) and now sport red with a logo of Kingfisher on the plane and has been rechristened as Deccan with Simplifly as the Tag line (now called Simplifly Deccan). Air deccan started its operation on 23rd August with a flight from Bangalore to Hubli.
Deccan now has a fleet of 20 Airbus A- 320 aircraft and 23 ATR Turboprop aircraft with an average of 1.5 years. It has flies to 65 cities with an average operation of 350 flights in a day. It has also connects to 8 such airports in the country which is being just connected by Air Deccan only which includes Kandla, Kolhapur, Tuticorin, Vijayawada, Bellary, Belgaum, Hubli, Rajahmundry.
